“She kept getting further away from the village until she felt so far away that she did not think about returning….. Suddenly almost five months after her disappearance, Ursula came back. She arrived exalted, rejuvenated, with new clothes in a style that was unknown to the village.” (35-36)
So many questions rush my mind when I was reading this particular part of the story. As Ursula kept walking away why did her desire to leave feeling so strong. Though her son left and life may not have been ideal the way she was living but the one thing that I cannot shake is that she felt that way about leaving even though she has a baby that still needs nursing. the bond between mother and child is such a strong bond and yet. Though it was her son she was chasing he was well off then the newborn. Why did was she gone for so long for such a short trip? What was discovered that uplifted her spirit so much?
